Application Scenario

Business Requirement

For industrial IoT environmental monitoring, massive device running data needs to be stored. For example, an enterprise has 20 factories, each factory has 20,000 measurement points, and the data ingestion frequency of each measurement point is 500ms. It can be calculated that the user needs to store 26 trillion data points a year. Assuming that the size of each data point is 50 bytes, the total amount of data will reach 1PB (if each server is configured with a 10T disk, more than 100 servers are required in total). These real-time generated data not only needs to be written into storage, but also needs to support fast query and visualization to help enterprise managers with data analysis and decision making. The stored data can also be used for big data analysis for finding deep-seated problems and helping enterprises save energy, reduce emissions, and increase benefits. In these business scenarios, TSDB can be well applied.

Digital Battery Manufacturing - Data Storage and Real-Time Monitoring

Huge device status data and business data is generated in battery production, such as electrode, cell, module, and pack production data, which is helpful in monitoring the battery production process.

Device status data and business data generated by the OT system in battery production is transmitted to EnOS Edge for preliminary processing and calculation. After passing the firewall, data is uploaded to EnOS Cloud through the IoT Hub. The stream data is further calculated in EnOS Cloud and is then stored in TSDB. Then, data generated in the battery production can be visualized and analyzed in reports, achieving quality supervision and device monitoring of electrodes, cells, modules, and battery packs in the production process.
